A beautiful example of a solid 18k rose gold 2852/2853 SC double reference, with an automatic Omega cal. 501 movement. It is completely original, as far as I can tell.
For the connoisseurs amongst you, you may notice that this is not a common crosshair dial variant. The font, especially the sizing/spacing of ‘CHRONOMETRE’ on this two-tone white/silver dial is very uncommon, but well established. In addition, it is fitted with rose gold dial furniture, including applied, de luxe, rose gold arrow head markers at 3, 6, 9 & 12 o’clock.
The underneath of the lyre lugs, along with the Swiss signed case back, are hallmarked.
Condition:-
This particular piece is in all original, respectfully used condition. The beautiful case is well preserved, with the lyre lugs retaining most of their definition and bevels. The dial, although showing some spotting and patina, has a real warmth and depth and oozes quality. The handset and markers are also showing a warmth, only possible with age. The case back snaps into position reassuringly.
Movement:-
There is no service history with this watch. The movement however, is the renowned calibre 501 and is keeping good, vintage time. The original decagonal crown is functioning correctly.
I guarantee the authenticity and the working order of this piece at the time of sale, and also offer a 3 month extended warranty. Please don’t expect this watch to be waterproof.
This piece will be supplied on a quality, aftermarket strap & buckle, tbc.
