Produced with the desirable factory 'Tuxedo' dial, combining a silver sunburst centre with contrasting black outer chapter ring and applied baton hour markers. Furthermore, a roulette date wheel. A subtle variation on the classic Datejust. Depending on the light, the silver centre comes alive whilst the black outer ring frames it beautifully, giving the watch a completely different personality to the standard models.

Combined with a concealed clasp Jubilee bracelet, this has to be one of the nicest modern Datejust specifications available. It remains understated enough for everyday wear, yet unusual enough that enthusiasts immediately notice it isn't just another Datejust.

Finding one in completely original condition, from its original owner, as a full set and now freshly serviced, makes this a particularly appealing example.

A Personal Note:-

Modern Rolex isn't usually what draws me in, but every now and then one appears that reminds me why the Datejust has remained such an enduring design. Fitted with a Tuxedo dial and roulette date wheel, this one doesn’t disappoint.

Condition:-

This watch is in exceptional overall condition.

Having just returned from my Rolex-accredited watchmaker following a complete service and gentle buff, it presents essentially as new. The stainless steel case retains its beautiful lines with only the most insignificant signs of previous ownership. The smooth polished bezel remains equally impressive.

The original factory Tuxedo dial is immaculate. The applied hour markers, hands and printed text remain perfect, whilst the roulette date wheel provides a lovely contrast beneath the Cyclops magnifier.

The original concealed clasp Jubilee bracelet is free of any significant stretch and retains all of its original links, aside from one unused spare. It closes with the reassuring precision you would expect from Rolex. The coronet on the concealed clasp remains beautifully defined.

This particular example was purchased directly from its original owner and is offered as a complete full set, including its original Rolex inner and outer boxes, warranty card, manuals, booklets, serialised swing tags and accessories. It is fitted to its original concealed clasp Jubilee bracelet, complete with all links.

Movement:-

The Rolex automatic Cal: 3135 chronometer movement has just undergone a full service by my Rolex-accredited watchmaker and is running exceptionally well. On the timegrapher it is currently recording 0 seconds per day, 0.0 beat error and circa 310° of amplitude. All functions are perfect.

I guarantee the authenticity and working order of this watch at the time of sale and include a 12-month mechanical warranty.

Although this is a modern Oyster cased Rolex and has been pressure tested during service, I do not guarantee water resistance. As with every pre-owned watch I sell, I recommend having the watch pressure tested immediately prior to any immersion in water if this is important to the new owner.
