SOLD. Rolex Day-Date, 18348. 18k Gold, Factory Set Diamonds. 1989

A Rolex, Oyster Perpetual Day-Date ref: 18348, produced in solid 18k yellow gold, with concealed clasp president bracelet, dating from 1989.

This is a 36mm solid 18k yellow gold watch, is a special reference of the standard series of Day-Dates, for those who are looking for that little bit extra. The champagne dial features diamond indices, alternating between brilliant-cut markers and baguette-cut quarters. Additionally, the bezel is set with diamonds to complement the dial.

Fitted to the head, a stunning President bracelet with concealed folding clasp, contributing to a weighty piece of around 140g.

Condition:-

This piece is in lovely, pre-owned condition. No attempts to hide any wear and exactly how I like to find them. The case shows signs of careful use, with the thick lugs retaining their factory shape and factory brushing throughout the case. The reference number & serial are still perfectly clear.

The dial and bezel are extremely nice, and as you would expect from Rolex, being factory-set. The original tritium lume is fully intact on both the dial, and the handset, having aged to a creamy tone. The crystal is perfect.

The crown is the Rolex original item and the screw-in caseback is also original to the watch, retaining its factory brushing.

The heavy, Presidential bracelet with concealed clasp, has worn to the same extent as the case, showing gentle use and only a little stretch. The clasp remains tight, with the Rolex coronet very prominent.

Movement:-

There is no service history with this watch. However, the movement is running strong. Inside, an improved Rolex cal. 3135 with double quickset date function.

I guarantee the authenticity and the working order of this piece at the time of sale, and will offer a 6 month extended warranty. And although this is an Oyster-cased watch, please don’t expect it to be waterproof.
