Heuer 510.500. Lemania Cal 5100.

£2,895.00

Heuer 510.500, automatic Lemania cal. 5100.

This is an all original piece and the earliest iteration of this particular reference, from around 1982/3. Heuer then went to a date only design and then lastly, the Tag Heuer version after TAG's acquisition of Heuer in 1985.

The case is in really nice shape with only very light marks from normal and careful use. It really has been cared for very well. The pushers and crown are fully operational and in lovely condition. The crystal is free of scratches and chips. The bracelet has been polished and is therefore looking clean. The clasp shuts with a nice click and the Heuer logo is strong and well defined . In good light, a link or two near the clasp have a slightly uneven finish from previous wear and/or polishing.

Condition:-

This piece is in extremely good, used condition. The tritium dial is all original and in stunning condition, and has developed a nice darkish, cream patina. All glowing as one would expect under UV light and fading off quickly after exposure. The hands look to be original to the watch and are tritium, in great condition. They also lose their luminosity straight after being subjected to UV.  The day/date wheel is original to the watch and has aged to a slightly creamy tone.

Movement:-

There is no service history with this watch, although there is evidence of work done in the past, in the form of service markings inside the caseback. The Lemania cal. 5100 is working beautifully and according to my watchmaker, has been serviced recently. In the upright position on the Timegrapher, it was running at -4s/d, and had an amplitude of 300 and BE of 0.2. The crown and pushers all work as intended.

I guarantee the authenticity and the working order of this piece at the time of sale, and offer a 3 month warranty. And although this is a sports watch, please don’t expect it to be waterproof.
