Aquastar Benthos 500 Diver, Version 1

Another rarity, especially this version 1 reference. From the mid 60’s and supposedly the first watch to reach a 500m depth rating without using a monobloc case. It uses a 17 jewel A. Schild cal:1902 running at 21,600 bph and is modified to include a 60 minute ‘totalizer’.

After being let down on a full restoration, I set about doing it myself. And here we are. It’s in very honest condition, having obviously been used for its intended purpose, but really is a lovely piece to look at.
