Rolex Submariner 5513. 1963. Gilt ‘SWISS’ only dial, closed chapter ring, exclamation point. Pointed crown guards. Cal.1530. Long 5 insert. Later 60’s stretch rivet bracelet.

This is by no means a pristine example or fully original. Later crown, later hands, dial a little worn, exclamation dot gone, worn lugs. However, I’m probably being harsh and overcritical, as it’s a truly beautiful piece to admire and wear.

In addition to the points mentioned above, the way this watch found its way to me is quite incredible, but too involved to explain here. And lastly, it was a wedding gift to myself. Well, that’s the excuse I sold to my wife anyway!
